Well what a year 2020 was for everyone! Amongst all the challenges I hope you had a few moments of joy and excitment. With Covid-19 seemingly “under control” in Victoria, it i time we get back on the mat and polish up our judo skills!

Serrano Judo Academy had a great day out at the Judo Victoria competition in the weekend. It was a good tun out for the event. We had Oscar and Hannah competing in the kids age groups and Jono entering his first ever Judo competition in the Kyu grades mens division.
Oscar had a great day. Although no medal this time we saw a significant improvement in his competitive performance. Well done Oscar, keep it up!
Hannah had a really tough day at the office with two of her matches going into golden score. One went her way. She fought gallantly throughout and ended up with her first bronze medal! Congratulations Hannah!
Jono also had an exceptional day. Of the three matches he won two by ippon and wasn’t far from winning the third match also! He ended with the silver medal at his first competition! Great Job Jono!
Im proud of all our members. They all continue to show great competitiveness along side respect and honour.

Yes… now that holidays are over…. JUDO is back!! Classes at Serrano Judo Academy resume next week. Wednesday 29th January and Saturday 1st of February.
